ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm North, an East Coast transplant currently based in LA. I grew up in New York City and Beijing, went to High School in picturesque Massachusetts, and completed my undergrad film degree at USC.I'm primarily a sound person, doing both production and post-production. I do a little directing and writing too (but who in LA doesn't). You can check out my credits on my main page, or on my IMDB.My motto is "we're making a movie, not curing cancer." When I'm on set, I take care of talent and my fellow crewmates as best I can, in addition to doing my job.I've crewed on Reality TV, Documentaries, and Short Films, and have sound designed/mixed for Animation, Narrative, Documentary, and various experimental forms. I've mixed on mix stages and on my crappy 2020 MacBook Pro. I've boomed on beaches, tucked away in the backseat of a car (three times now), behind doors, and on soundstages. Can't say I've done everything under the sun, but I'm always willing to try or learn.(P.S. Unfortunately, that arm sleeve tattoo is not real. I wish it was. Hire me so I can make it real.)

Some other cool stuff I've done

All audio was recorded in the Foley Stage at the School of Cinematic Arts in USC. Mixed and edited by Adam Bloodgood and myself for a sound practicum class taught by Prof. Stephen Hunter Flick, the one and only.
